When should I start taking prenatal vitamins?
It’s recommended to begin taking prenatal vitamins 1-2 months before you begin trying to conceive, or as soon as you decide to try to conceive. Taking prenatal vitamins helps prepare your body for pregnancy with adequate nutrients as your nutritional needs increase immediately after conception.

How much folic acid do I need for pregnancy?
It’s recommended to get at least 600mcg and up to 800mcg of folic acid daily when pregnant.
